Catalogue Description

Deeds relating to the Kirklevington estate, one of the smaller estates of the Bowes-Lyon family, Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne. The estate covered the properties at Kirklevington, Picton and Worsall in Yorkshire (North Riding).

Although outside County Durham the Kirklevington estate was on occasions administered with the Streatlam estate, and Kirklevington tithes were administered with Gainford tithes.
