Changeover date between Thomas Colpitts I and Thomas Colpitts II, c.1755
Ref: D/St/E4/4/1Changeover date between Thomas Colpitts I and Thomas Colpitts II, c.1755
The following series of cash accounts appears to have been copied up into D/St/E4/4/1 (although some of the cash accounts are themselves copies). They supplement gaps in that series and in some cases are more legible. Most items include details of the ledger accounts to which entries are posted.
This series is in Richard Dobson's hand and supplements his other series of cash accounts (1818 - 1834)
Ref: D/St/E4/4/95Although some entries correspond, this series is not duplicated exactly by Richard Dobson's cash accounts series
Ref: D/St/E4/4/102The items in this section are varied in format and do not form any substantial series; they may include details of arrears, acreages, property tax and quit rents.
Ref: D/St/E4/8/1Note: The following series consists of rough notes of rents received, related bills from tenants, arrears, etc., arranged by tenant
Ref: D/St/E4/8/32The sets of rent day working papers are mostly original bundles containing rentals, accounts of arrears, rent day cash accounts and rent day memorandum files (rough notes and calculations). Those for 1861 - 1862 also include accounts of extra stint rents due from Lune tenants.
Ref: D/St/E4/8/37The twice-yearly rent day memorandum files are the same as appear in the sets of rent day working papers (above); they seem to have been kept as separate series for the dates below
Ref: D/St/E4/8/59This series consists of weekly, and monthly accounts, some titled 'Pay Bills' or 'Monthly Bills', recording workmen's names, work done, numbers of days worked, rates of pay and wages. The series covers principally Streatlam estate and establishment, including the museum park and tile sheds, and, to a lesser extent, Wemmergill.
