For his first marriage, Andrew Robinson Stoney married Hannah Newton, heiress of William Newton of Burnopfield, the owner of Cole Pike Hill. On her death, her estates came into the Bowes' possession with the marriage of Andrew Robinson Stoney to Mary Eleanor Bowes in 1777.
