Born 29 July 1882, died 11 October 1954
Worked at Coxhoe Cooperative Society as well as a greengrocer and rollyman
Enlisted in King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment, Royal Field Artillery on 1 December 1915 and posted to Salonika, Greece.
He was a member of the National Union of Distributive and Allied Workers and was awarded gold medal and certificates as a result as well as being on the committee of the Coxhoe Working Men's Club

Hilda Scorer (Ref: D/X 2099/3)

Born 11 December 1912, married Walter Morris in 1936, died aged 91 on 17 May 2004
Attended Cornforth Lane school about 1919. Employed as a servant in Leeds, cleaner in Durham and later at St. Bede's College

Morris Family (Ref: D/X 2099/4/1-2)

Thomas was born in Wheatley Hill, 1877
He was employed as a Master Shifter [a person in charge of the shifters who cleared the horse-ways and other passages in the mine] and Deputy at Bowburn Colliery
Hannah was born in Spennymoor, 1880
Walter was born in Kelloe in 1912, married Hilda Scorer in 1936 and died in Coxhoe on 11 December 1985
He worked as a coal miner at Bowburn Colliery and also at Steetley Quarry
