Catalogue Description
Weardale Community Choir grew out of a Drama in the Dale initiative, 'The Bonny Moorhen' [see D/DiD]. With strapline 'your friendly local choir', the choir is open to all, with weekly rehearsals and at least three performances in Weardale each year.Catalogue Contents

A song cycle based on the lives and landscape of Weardale, inspired by an oak chest containing documents from 1377 to 1660 from the Bishop of Durham's Forest of Weardale and Stanhope Park Courts, preserved in Warden Hill Farm until 1953 when it was donated to Durham University.
