Drawings of parts and sub-assemblies of locomotives and other rolling stock repaired at the Gateshead railway works. The Gateshead works was the North Eastern Railway (NER)'s principle locomotive design/build/repair site. NER was absorbed into the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) in 1923 which was, in turn, absorbed into British Railways in 1948. The works closed in 1959.
