How to apply for a copy of a divorce record depends on the amount of information you have. The GOV.UK website has clear guidance on how to get a copy of a decree absolute or final order.
There are very few divorce records held in Durham Record Office: only two divorce cause books for Durham County Court covering the years 1949 to 1950 (ref. CCo/Du 41-42).
