Help with joining online events

Here’s advice on how to join an online talk or family history session advertised in upcoming events on the Record Office online shop.

How Third Thursday talks and Family History sessions are hosted online

Our Third Thursday talks, Family History and Branching Out sessions are all hosted as Zoom meetings.
For online help see the Zoom Help Centre’s instructions:
Joining a meeting.

What happens when you book an online session

When you book a place through our online shop we will send you a confirmation email containing a link to the online event.
We’ll also send you a reminder email the day before the session starts.

Third Thursday talks are free, but if you’d like to make a donation to support us there’s an optional payment link in the emails we send you.
