Notes

This photograph comes from Henry de Lisle's book, 'Reminiscences of Sport and War', published in 1939 when he had retired from the British Army. General de Lisle was a lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion Durham Light Infantry at the time when he found Jimmy Durham in 1885.
