Property at Ditcheat, Somerset

This property was originally in the hands of John Jennings, a yeoman, of Alhampton, Ditcheat. In 1754 it was divided whereafter part of the property descended to William Beal of Liskeard through the marriage of Mary Jenningson to Joseph Willmot(t). The rest passed to the Haines and Thomlinson families whose shares were purchased by the Reverend S. Gilbert Bea1 to put an end to the inconvenience caused by the scattered nature of the lands. The property as a whole then passed to Beal's children.
