Gateshead St. James Parish (Ref: EP/Ga.SJ)

Gateshead St. James was created in 1864 from Gateshead St. Mary.
A church was erected on Park Road in 1865 (see EP/Ga.SJ 4/3 for the builders' accounts), and was subsequently demolished some time after 2000.
The parish merged with Gateshead, Venerable Bede in 1983. See Gateshead, St James and Venerable Bede Church Centre for post-1983 records.
