Catalogue Description

MANAGING DIRECTOR'S DEPARTMENT

This department has, at different stages, included other departments. Before 1978, the department consisted of the Data Specialist, the Social Development Department, the Central Policy Unit and the Press and Public Relations Department. From 1980 the Finance, Legal and Administration Departments also formed part of the Managing Director's Department. By 1981 the Central Policy Unit had been disbanded and by 1982 the Social Development Department and Press and Public Relations Section were no longer part of the Development Corporation. The Managing Director's Department, therefore, then consisted of the Legal Section and the Administration Section.
