Born 5 March 1895; home address Esperley Lane, Cockfield; enlisted 7 July 1915; trained as Lewis gunner; arrived in France 12 November 1915; wounded by rifle grenade in Trench 50, near Hill 60, on 21 February 1916; also served as 48102 Private in the West Yorkshire Regiment; married to Dorothy Jane Pearson at Bishop Auckland in August 1921; died 29 September 1959. Medals in DLI Medal Collection.
