Catalogue Description
Opened 9 October 1915, along with Shildon Infants School. Occupied the top floor of a two storey building, the ground floor being used by Shildon Boys' Secondary School. The infants were housed in a seperate building.In September 1975, the secondary boys were transferred to Sunnydale School and the junior school took over the whole of the building.
Amalgamated with Shildon Infants School to become Shildon Primary School, July 1982. The infants building was used to house the new school and the junior building was demolished for houses.
Later changed name to Thornhill Primary School [after 1997].
