Catalogue Description

Shotton Colliery County Junior Mixed School

Shotton Council Junior Mixed School opened on 2 May 1916. On 24 August 1926, the boys were transferred to Shotton Colliery Council Junior Boys School, and it became Shotton Colliery Council (later County) Junior Girls School. On 13 March 1964, the boys and girls schools closed and amalgamated to form the new Shotton Colliery County Junior Mixed School. It closed on 20 July 1984, when it amalgamated with Shotton Colliery County Infants School, to form Shotton Colliery County Primary School.
