2 May 1734 Articles of agreement between the customary tenants (62 signatories to the agreement) of the Manor of Cotherstone with Hunderthwaite drawn up to obviate infringements of customary rights by the lords of the manor, concerning: 1. nomination of 13 'managers' of any legal suits which might arise. 2. assessment and rating to defray the managers' costs. 3. payment in cases of default. 4. meetings of tenants and managers.

10 May 1774 (1) Thomas Binks of Stonykeld, Bowes, Y.N., gent (2) John Bourn of Cotherstone, Y.N.,gent (3) Sithy Bourn of the same, spinster, dau. of (2) (4) Richard Binks of Thorp or Stonykeld, gent., and Henry Bourn of Cotherstone, gent. Marriage settlement between (1) and (3) (by enfeoffment) whereby (1) conveys to (4) all his messuages and lands at Stonykeld on trust to the use of (1) until his marriage, thereafter to (1) for life, allowing (1) to receive the rents upon trust to pay an annuity to (3) of £25 if she outlive (1), then to use of the issue of (1) and (3) as they shall jointly direct, failing which to the heirs of (1) Consideration: £500 (marriage portion of (3) paid to (1)).
