11-12 May 1804 (1) Robert Clarke of Stockton, Esquire and Thornas Hopper of Newcastle upon Tyne (2) Henry Mills, late of Durharn, now of Willington, Esquire; Hendry Hopper, late of Durham, now of Hendon, Esquire; Thomas Chipchase of Durham, merchant (lately bankers in the City of Durham) (3) Betty Pearson of Harperley, widow and administratrix of George Pearson, late a partner of (2). (4) John Walton Elliot of Gainford, Esquire (5) Christopher Hopper of Durham, Alderman Lease and Release by (1), with the consent of (2) and (4), to (5) of several messuages and appurtenances on the east side of the North Bailey Durham, including the former banking house of Mills and Company, and the pews in the church of St. Mary-le-Bow relating thereto, to the use of (4) and (5) as specified. Covenant by (3) to make her infant daughter Elizabeth party to some further assurance on her majority. Covenant by (4) to produce deeds specified in annexed schedule. Consideration: £650 (4) to (1), £450 (5) to (1)
