25 December 1734 (1) Robert Sober of Darlington, weaver (2) Margaret Bowes of London, spinster, administratix of estate of Robert Bowes, late of Thornton, Durham, esquire, deceased (3) Richard Seymour of Stanwick St. Johns, Yorkshire, gent. Mortgage of messuage, burgage, or tenement with a little house, shop, garth, garden or orchard in Northgate, Darlington, joining upon the messuages or tenements of Henry Young on the north and Mrs. Ralph Stobbs on the south, together with houses ,outhouses, edifice buildings, shops, cellar rooms etc., from (1) to (2) for £120, recites mortgage of 20 February 1727 from (1) to Robert Bowes for £100 and mortgage of 20 April 1733 from (1) to Robert Bowes for £120, recites death of Robert Bowes and grant of administration to Margaret Bowes and outstanding debt of £120 owing on mortgage of 20 April 1733 Endorsed with signatures of Margaret Bowes and Robert Sober and witnesses: Ralph Stobbs, Thomas Richardson, Dora Chewe and Francis Wardale Endorsed with receipt of £120 by Margaret Bowes, witnessed by Dora Chewe and Francis Wardale
