Details from Frances Durham’s Birth Certificate

Frances Durham was born on 28 August 1910 at 16 May Street, Bishop Auckland, and her birth was registered by her mother, Jane, on 1 October 1910.

Frances’ father is recorded as James Francis Durham, a ‘Bandsman 2nd Durham Light Infantry’. Although Jimmy had died three weeks earlier, on 8 August, he is not shown as deceased. Frances’ mother is shown as Jane Durham, formerly Green.
