Jane Green
Jane Green was born in Bishop Auckland in 1885, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann.
The 1901 census shows her living there with her parents, her sisters Hannah and Lydia, and her brother William. A census of the population has been taken in England every ten years since 1801, but as the information is not available to the public for 100 years, these are the most recent details we can look at.
See details from the 1901 census, 16 May Street, Bishop Auckland.
An earlier census of 1881 shows that the family was living at 24 Craddock Street, Bishop Auckland, and that Jane had two older sisters, Martha and Mary Jane, and another brother, Thomas.
It was to 16 May Street, however, that Jane returned to have her baby, Frances, three weeks after Jimmy died.
In 1915, Jane married again, to Thomas Cleasby.
