Details from Frances Jubb’s Death Certificate
Frances Jubb died on 9 March 1998, at Portland House Nursing Home, Willington. Her death was registered with the Durham Western Registrar on 11 March 1998.
The certificate records that she was born on 28 August 1910, at Close House, County Durham; that her maiden name was Durham; and that her husband had been a labourer on the railways before his death.
No-one must have remembered his first name, as he is simply recorded as —— Jubb.
Frances died from a urinary tract infection, senile dementia and cerebrovascular disease, as certified by the doctor, J.E. Jewitt. Olive Cleasby of 27 Cumbria Lodge, Bishop Auckland, registered her death, and Frances was to be cremated.
Frances’ mother, Jane, had married a Thomas Cleasby in 1915, so Olive must have been related to him.
